Acting-up Guidelines
Acting-up as a Consultant - Guidelines
These are the guidelines for trainees to follow when applying to Act-up as a Consultant:-
1. Training Programme Director (Specialty) needs to check that all competencies are up-to-date and acting-up post
is suitable for addition of training.
2. Trainee seeks Training Programme Director approval in principle prior to'acting up' appointment.
3. Trainee completes Deanery OOPT form and sends to TPD.
4. TPD signs and sends Deanery OOPT form to Deanery.
5. TPD notifies College and Regional Adviser of trainee name, hospital and dates.
