Out of Programme Training
Out of Programme Training (OOPT)
Off rotation attachments are discretionary and will depend on satisfactory progress within the training programme. A
minimum
of 6 months notice is required to organise time out of programme. The school has good links with centres in Australia and the USA that provide training in general anaesthesia, ICM, pain, cardiac and vascular anaesthesia. OOPT is limited to 1 year and training recognition must be arranged prospectively with the Royal College of Anaesthetists.
